Welcome To Anderson County Nestled at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with unparalleled natural beauty including its lakes, rivers and four distinct seasons, Anderson is a great place to call home. Anderson was named for Revolutionary War hero General Robert Anderson. He came to the area in the mid 1700’s with his friend, Andrew Pickens, to survey land given to the Colony by the Indians. Anderson has a long proud history from its pioneering days of small Scots-Irish and English farmers to today’s thriving community. Industrialization of Anderson began in the late 1800’s with the arrival of cotton mills. Textiles remained a major force in Anderson throughout the 1900’s and to the present day. In the 1950’s, however, non-textile companies also began moving into the area and today Anderson has a large variety of industry including automotive, electronics, automatic machinery, appliances, rubber products, plastics, and chemicals as well as textiles. Anderson is conveniently located on the Interstate 85 corridor half way between Atlanta and Charlotte. The I-85 corridor is known as one of the nation’s hottest growth areas. Anderson offers a small-town feel with diverse recreational opportunities and the attractions of larger cities only a short drive away. With its rich history and interesting future, Anderson is an exciting place to live and work.

Home Inspections >Walk Through Woes
Buyers can be a little cranky on closing day if things go wrong during the walk-through inspection. For example, the sellers' dependable old dishwasher might stop midway through its cycle and the bathroom sink might clog unexpectedly. These situations can create anxiety for the buyers and sellers, but such problems are quite common and usually simple to resolve.
Most purchase agreements require that the major mechanical systems and the appliances being conveyed are in working order at the time of the closing. Defects are often discovered during the structural inspection, allowing the sellers plenty of time to have the repairs made. Occasionally there are last-minute breakdowns or defects that are not spotted until the walk-through inspection. In that case, an agreement can be made with the sellers at the closing to escrow funds for the repair or replacement of the items in question.
